Over two days, September 22 and 23, Ponta Porã hosted activities organized by the Mato Grosso do Sul Comitê de Cultura, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. The event brought together cultural agents, artists, and representatives from associations and organizations, offering workshops focused on developing cultural projects.

According to Éder Rubens da Silva, the local representative for the initiative, the program reached artists from both the central region of Ponta Porã and Itamaraty. “It was two intense days of learning, during which we were able to expand the knowledge of our cultural agents and learn more about what is being done to strengthen our organizations and cultural practitioners,” he noted.

For Anderson Lima, a member of the Culture Committee (Comitê de Cultura), the mobilization surrounding the event was an example of local engagement. “It’s great to arrive in a municipality and find a leader committed to mobilizing the cultural community. Éder deserves congratulations for the work he’s done here in Ponta Porã,” he said.

According to Anderson Lima, the Committee’s mission is precisely to provide education, information, and training to the state’s artists and cultural agents. “Getting to know the people of Ponta Porã over these two days was a great pleasure. The Comitê de Cultura remains available to join forces and transform the culture of Mato Grosso do Sul,” he concluded.
