The "Se Joga" Initiative Compiles Deadlines and Funding Links for Artists, Producers, and Civil Society Organizations
To help artists, cultural producers, and all cultural creators access resources and opportunities, and to decentralize information about cultural grant opportunities, the Mato Grosso do Sul Culture Committee (Comitê de Cultura, CCMS) launched the “Se Joga” campaign, a resource that centralizes the main public and private calls for proposals currently open.
The list ranges from major national initiatives to local calls for proposals. The one with the largest financial allocation is Petrobras Cultural, which will invest R$ 270 million in projects across the country. The call for proposals accepts submissions for festivals, audiovisual projects, digital culture, video games, exhibitions, and popular festivals, with a submission deadline of next week, July 31, 2026.
On the same date, the deadline expires for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) applying for the Cultural Circuit. The call for proposals seeks proposals for implementing the circuit in the city of Dourados, made possible through a Funding Agreement with the Mato Grosso do Sul Culture Foundation.
AUDIOVISUAL AND MIDWEST
Filmmakers from Mato Grosso do Sul can apply through August 3, 2026, for Rota Cine MS. The call for proposals allows for the free use of the new public studio at the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS-MS) for recording podcasts, documentaries, and videos.
As for the state capital, August 27, 2026, was the deadline to apply for three specific calls for proposals focused on the production of short films, festivals, screenings, film clubs, and audiovisual training in Campo Grande.
At the regional level, there is a branch of the country’s main incentive law dedicated exclusively to local development: the Rouanet Centro-Oeste program.
The goal is to provide financial support for projects through Pronac, strengthening the creative economy, accessibility, and diversity in the region; applications are open until August 13, 2026.
ONGOING APPLICATIONS AND POPULAR CULTURE
For those working with popular culture and traditions, the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) has a call for proposals open until December 1, 2026, aimed at organizers of festival projects. The focus is on strengthening traditional cultural expressions and expanding public access to these events.
The survey also highlights ongoing calls for proposals. This is the case with the “Pontos de Memória” call for proposals, aimed at cultural organizations and collectives, which offers national certification for initiatives dedicated to the preservation, research, and promotion of community heritage.
Sesc MS has adopted a similar strategy. The institution has permanently open applications for its Talent Bank. The curatorial team seeks to register artists from the state who work in the fields of music, performing arts, literature, visual arts, and audiovisual arts.
All access links and application forms for the opportunities mentioned have been compiled by the team at the Comitê de Cultura MS (MS Culture Committee).
