The Aflora Project held a workshop on associations and cooperatives in Aldeia Moreira, in Miranda (MS), on December 20, 2025. The workshop was led by facilitator Ana Triches and brought together Indigenous people interested in developing community activities.

For just over two hours, Triches explained the differences between associations and cooperatives, outlining the characteristics of both models so that the residents themselves could assess which one best meets the community’s needs.

Among the interests expressed were initiatives in the areas of cooking, sewing, and sports. The workshop aimed to guide participants on the possibilities for collective organization to develop these activities.

The Aflora Project is implemented by the Oscip Flor e Espinho, with funding from a parliamentary amendment by Federal Representative Camila Jara (PT-MS), and promotes guidance and training initiatives in communities across Mato Grosso do Sul.
